Dr. Hannah Lobas
Dr. Hannah Lobas has a long-standing history with the Oswego Animal Hospital Family. She began her career with us in 2014 as a technician, greeting our patients and providing support to the doctors through patient care. In 2017 she graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. From there she ventured to Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, AZ. Dr. Lobas did not let the COVID-19 pandemic get in the way of achieving her goals and graduated from Midwestern in June 2022 with a special interest in surgery!
Dr. Lobas found her passion for animals at age 5 when she began horseback riding and by age 9 knew that she was going to be a veterinarian. In her free time, she still hits the trails on horseback and has even gotten her nephew into riding. She has two rescue pets – Ca$h, a pitbull mix, and Chandler, a domestic short hair cat. Fun fact – Dr. Lobas literally rescued Chandler and his siblings from the Arizona heat when she found them roadside! She hopes to add more pets to her fur family in the future.
Why did Dr. Lobas decide to rejoin the OAH team as a practicing vet? She says it felt like “coming home.” Career wise, she has really grown up within the OAH clinic and was looking forward to working alongside the doctors that have mentored her while in school.
