Dr. Jyothi Pedapati has been with Oswego Animal Hospital since 2014. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2013.  Prior to that, she received her Bachelor's degree from Augustana College, in Rock Island, IL, and her Master’s Degree in Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL.  Before starting her career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Pedapati  spent several years working in neuroscience research at the Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago.  Although she loves many aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a special interest in internal medicine.  

Dr. Pedapati notes that her favorite thing about working at Oswego Animal Hospital is the team approach she and her co-workers take for optimal patient care. 

When she is not spending time caring for patients, she is either reading, traveling, exploring museums, hiking, or spending time with friends and family.  She shares her home with a male tabby cat named Judah, who was adopted from Help Save Pets in 2016, after an extended hospital stay for a broken paw; and shares the family cat, a female tortoiseshell cat named Percy.
